Reprogrammed cells offer an opportunity for testing pharmacological compounds at a patient specific level. At a broader level, cells derived from specific human populations will be available for the customized test of specific drugs. Screening for multiple compounds will be facilitated by the availability of a large number of cells derived from patient with differing genetic backgrounds.
